Francis J. Clark, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and eye surgeon who has been providing individualized, compassionate care to patients for more than 30 years. He offers comprehensive surgical and medical eye care with particular expertise in small-incision, no-needle, no-stitch cataract surgery, femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, glaucoma management and laser surgery, LASIK refractive surgery, and oculoplastic procedures. Patients appreciate his thoughtful, continuity-focused approach, as he takes pride in personally guiding them through every step of their care, from the first consultation through postoperative follow-up so they feel informed, supported, and confident in their treatment.

Dr. Clark’s commitment to excellent patient care is supported by a strong academic foundation and rigorous ophthalmology training. A magna cum laude graduate of St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, where he attended on a presidential scholarship, he went on to earn his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and received high honors in ophthalmology from Wills Eye Hospital. He completed his internship at Mercy Catholic Medical Center and his ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, and he is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Clark is also an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the Greater Philadelphia Eye Care Centers of Excellence.
